Its bodyshell is based on the standard version of the S 600, with a visibly lengthened wheelbase and higher roof. The cultivated power of a V8 diesel drive is evident in the S 450 CDI Guard. This model is the first series-production luxury saloon with diesel drive and special protection. A V12 biturbo engine generating an output of 380 kW (517 hp) and maximum torque of 830 Nm not only guarantees exceptional ride comfort in the S 600 Guard. The drive system also has sufficient power to get you out of the danger zone in an emergency.
With comprehensive modifications to the body structure, chassis and brakes the additional weight of up to 1.5 tons is applied.
