The diesel engines for the new C-Class Coupé stand for efficient, refined and powerful progress. The two diesel engines are able to achieve their impressive performance thanks to a number of special technical features.

4-cylinder diesel engines

The diesel drive systems work with many technical innovations. The result: their performance is up to 20 percent higher than comparable engines of older models.

That means the C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY delivers 125 kW and the C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY 150 kW. At the same time the torque of both engines has increased by up to 25 percent, while fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are up to 23 percent lower. Both models also have the ECO start/stop function and fall under the Euro 5 emissions class.

You can choose between the following models: C 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY and C 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY.

Efficient energy usage: The maximum injection pressure of 2000 bar and modern injectors meter the required fuel quantity extremely precisely – a sound basis for efficient and on-demand use of energy.
Optimised combustion chamber design: ideal conditions for maximising both clean combustion and energy efficiency.
Relieving stress and boosting energy: The optimised alternator management relieves stress on the engine and the turbocharging provides more efficiency.
