The drive system for the 4MATIC[1] permanent all-wheel drive in the GLK is one of the most powerful all-wheel drive systems deployed by Mercedes-Benz. Power and torque are distributed as required at all times to the four wheels, whether on or off-road. This provides additional traction and directional stability, which in turn improves both responsiveness and handling safety.

This is thanks to the intelligent interaction between the ESP® Electronic Stability Program, ASR acceleration skid control and the 4ETS Electronic Traction System.
