Optimum pulling power and efficient consumption are the hallmarks which distinguish the diesel engines of the M-Class. They employ an optimised form of common-rail direct injection, which enhances their power delivery even further. In addition, they are fitted as standard with a particulate filter and can deliver maximum power with a minimum noise level.
For maximum 6-cylinder comfort you have a choice of three models: the ML 300 CDI 4MATIC BlueEFFICIENCY generates 150 kW at a peak torque of 500 Nm and reaches a top speed of 205 km/h. The ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC has an output of 155 kW with maximum torque of 540 Nm at 1600-2400 rpm. It uses environmentally friendly BlueTEC® technology, which further reduces exhaust emissions. In a chemical-catalytic reaction it converts harmful nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water. The ML 350 CDI 4MATIC generates 170 kW, with a peak torque of 540 Nm and a top speed of 220 km/h.
(ML 300 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY: fuel consumption combined: 8.4-9.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 224-240 g/km; ML 350 BlueTEC 4MATIC: fuel consumption combined: 8.7-9.1 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 231-239 g/km; ML 350 CDI 4MATIC: fuel consumption combined: 8.9-9.4 l/100 km, CO2 emissions combined: 235-246 g/km)[1]
