The AIRMATIC package is included as standard with the ML 450 CDI 4MATIC, ML 500 4MATIC and ML 63 AMG, and is available as an option for the other models. It includes front/rear air suspension with level control. This significantly increases driving comfort by keeping the vehicle level constant, even with heavier loads, to ensure that the full extent of spring travel is always available. Another key advantage is that ground clearance can be extended if required and drag – and therefore fuel consumption – reduced by lowering the level of the car at higher speeds.

At the same time, the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) ensures even more driving pleasure, reducing pitch and roll and automatically damping each wheel individually as needed. You can choose between “Auto”, “Sport” and “Comfort” modes.
